With over 25 years of hands-on experience in product innovation, design engineering, and commercial product launches, Robert Butcher is a seasoned innovation leader known for bringing breakthrough products to market across diverse sectors, including automotive, home protection, outdoor retail, and commercial vehicle upfits. His ability to blend technical engineering expertise with customer-driven innovation has resulted in the successful launch of more than 20 new products annually, many featuring patentable technologies.

Robert’s leadership is rooted in product development frameworks such as Voice of Customer and Speed to Market. He has guided teams to develop scalable innovation pipelines that deliver measurable results. Among his recent achievements:
• Launching an all-new product line in under 10 months, generating over $15 million in first-year sales, with projected 3x annual growth
• Redesigning a client’s core product category, resulting in 4x revenue growth and exceeding target expectations
• Coaching internal innovation teams to build sustainable product development processes aligned with business growth goals

As Chief Engineer and Co-Founder of Hawk Hunting and Killer Instinct Crossbows, Robert led the creation and launch of 15–20 products per year. His leadership extended from concept development through engineering, testing, manufacturing integration, and market release—helping transform both companies from startup phase to multi-million-dollar enterprises. Many of these products now hold active patents and are recognized in the industry for performance and design innovation.

Earlier in his career, Robert served as Senior Design Engineer and Product Manager at Primos Hunting, where he managed the development of multiple product lines, ensuring alignment with customer needs and cost targets. He also contributed to quality engineering and regulatory compliance at Eastman Outdoors, where he designed technical product solutions and quality assurance systems using SolidWorks and other advanced engineering tools.

Robert is passionate about helping teams build smarter, faster, and more customer-aligned innovation ecosystems. Whether developing test protocols for product approval or driving concept differentiation in crowded markets, he brings a proven track record of performance and leadership to every project.

He resides in Mid-Michigan with his wife and two children, and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
