Abe discovered his interest in welding while rebuilding an older truck after an accident. Fabricating replacement doors, building a roll cage and cow catcher, and constructing dune buggy doors gave him practical experience in metal fabrication and forming, along with an early appreciation for the mix of technical knowledge, hands-on problem solving, and creativity it takes to turn an idea into a working solution.

Today, Abe’s consulting work clients focuses on manufacturing improvements across welding and grinding reduction, assembly rework, production tracking, material and consumable usage, manufacturing standards, and production flow. One of his key initiatives targets unnecessary grinding in welding operations. By challenging established practices and developing techniques that produce presentable welds without additional grinding, he is addressing a step long accepted as part of the job, while helping welders at every experience level learn new techniques and rethink familiar approaches.

Abe believes effective improvement means showing why a change makes sense and proving that it works. Whether that means picking up a welding torch to demonstrate a technique or working directly on the production floor to improve workflow, he gets involved in the process rather than relying on recommendations alone. His approach centers on practical problem solving, personal accountability, and earning buy-in through demonstrated results.

Abe holds a Bachelor of Science in Welding Engineering Technology from Ferris State University. He is motivated by challenging conventional thinking and turning improvement opportunities into measurable business value, and he is focused on delivering sustainable improvements for the organizations he supports.
